The pain just below my ass on my knee. Especially in the side and back of the left leg and back of my knee was sore. It hurts more when I sit. What kind of doctor do I see?

Sounds like sciatica. Start with a neurologist.

Sure sounds like a pain in the sciatic nerve. Sucks, right?
I see a sports doc PT deep heat, when the mine starts, but the heat packs use in the house at the top of the sciatic (lower tailbone - photo attached link below ... The heat helps a lot. On a day hot bath once a miracle will do.
